Best Bet: NY Jets +6.5 (-110)

I must be a glutton for punishment, as I am on the Jets this week. I’m as low as you can be on this team, but even with last week’s performance, there were some silver linings. The Jets did fairly OK against a run-heavy Ravens team. While defensively, they were 26th overall in defense, they managed to be 4th DVOA against the run. This lines up perfectly with my handicap, as I expect the Browns to run the ball. The Jets want to get the ball in Jacoby Brissett’s hands. The more Brissett will be forced to throw, the higher percentage he can make a mistake. He’s pretty conservative and I don’t expect many mistakes but with a total of 40 for the game, the Jets getting almost a full touchdown is an auto bet.
