Total Accepted Penalties u10.5 (-140)

SB 55 Best Bet: No one likes penalties. In that spirit, I’m taking the under 10.5 accepted penalties for the Super Bowl. I just think that in big games, the refs tend to swallow their whistles and let the players decide the game. Of course, if there is something egregious, I expect the refs to call it but in the biggest game of the year, they do not want to decide the outcome. I’m sure the NFL has subtly nudged the refs to not call a ton of penalties either. In fact, it even makes for bad TV. Never forget, the NFL is a television production. My theory was put to the test in last week’s Conference Championship games. There were minimal penalties in both games. It even seemed the zebras were going out of their way to not call small stuff in the Green Bay / Tampa game. I’m on the under total accepted penalties of 10.5 for this Super Bowl. When betting this, make sure to get the correct wording of accepted penalties.
