Best Bet: Detroit Lions +3.5 (-110)

I was big on the Lions earlier this season. No, I didn’t buy into the whole “Hard Knocks” hype that everyone was pushing. I believed that this team is building their organization the right way. They were focusing on offensive line and defensive line. They found a playmaker in Amon Ra St. Brown and drafted Swift. They have Jameson Williams on deck later this season. In reality, any play they got from Jared Goff would be a bonus, as they are looking to draft a QB next year. But here’s the problem. The defense is still really bad. Easily bottom three in the league. The secondary gets torn to shreds regularly and they aren’t getting any better. The Dan Campbell show is great but eventually, you need to win a few games, if nothing more than for the morale of the whole team. This play is purely a situational spot for me with a good number getting the hook. I have Detroit at home, finally healthy with all their playmakers back and coming off of a bye. Miami lowkey can’t put up any points this year and their defense is suspect, with injuries in the secondary. I do believe this is an all out effort for Campbell in this game. I’ll take the extra hook but I do think the Lions might win this outright.
