1/1/22 Best Bet: Kansas City Chiefs -4 (-110)

Don’t lie. When you first looked at this game you thought to yourself that the Bengals were getting too many points at home, didn’t you? You did. I did too. It was the obvious square “sharp” play. Well, as I thought more about this game, I came to realize that there is a massive mismatch between the KC defensive line and the Cincy offensive line. And all the (deserved) accolades for Joe Burrow aside, the Bengals defense isn’t really that good. It’s average but it’s kind of bad against the pass (22nd overall DVOA). You know who’s kinda nice with the pass? Mahomes. Also, with everyone anointing Burrow after last week’s performance, a real question needs to be asked: are the Bengals ready to be a real contender? This is going to be a playoff atmosphere. I’ll go with the team that has been in the Super Bowl the last two years.
