Chicago Bears +2.5 (-110) vs. Indianapolis Colts

10/1/20 Best Bet: Da Bears! I was high on this team coming into this season and so far, so good. Here they are at 3-0. Yes, I know it took two massive comebacks, but the results are there. They are also one missed FG away from being 3-0 covering those games as well. This Sunday they play the 2-1 Colts who have beat the Vikings and Jets (two of the worst teams in the league) and lost to the Jags (another bad team). So then Bears are favored, right?! Wrong. This line makes no sense. This line means (if we are using 2 points for home field advantage due to COVID) that the Colts would be 6.5 point favorites in Indy. If that’s the case, I would be betting the Bears big. I would probably double my normal bet amount in that situation. Yet here we are. The Bears are getting no respect at home even when they have gotten a slight upgrade at QB with Nick Foles. Yes, Indy is rated #1 in Defensive DVOA so far this year but I’m still getting a non-explosive Indy offense on the road. Oh, they are banged up too. TY Hilton is the only legit NFL-level starting WR on the roster. Not to mention, I get the potential for Philip Rivers mistakes…I’m on the Bears!
