NFL Draft: under 5.5 Quarterbacks Drafted in Round 1 (-600)

4/29/21 Best Bet: Draft day is here! I’m going to lay another big number here with going UNDER 5.5 QBs to go in the first round. I’m from the school of sports gambling is investing and the point is to make money. Yes, I can give a big sexy plus number and it looks contrarian. OR, I can give something that will win. I’m going with the latter. By now we know the 5 guys that are going to go in the first round: Lawrence, Wilson, Fields, Lance and Mac Jones. I’m not sure which teams they go to and for this bet it doesn’t really matter. This is a bet on the fact that there aren’t any other QB prospects that deserve to go in the 1st round and not enough teams have that need. The Steelers can use a QB but have way more pressing issues on the OL and RB. The Pats might move up but won’t force it and will pick a QB elsewhere if they can’t get their guy. Denver just traded for Teddy and while they may still go QB, they don’t have to push the issue now. Carolina has signaled that they are all in on Sam Darnold. Same for the Dolphins with Tua. The Bears need a QB, for sure, and may trade up for one but have so many needs that they really can’t pick the 6th prospect in the first round. Take a bridge jump with this one and lay the juice.
