New York Jets +9 (-110) vs. Las Vegas Raiders

12/4/20 Best Bet: Yep, you read that correctly, I’m betting on the Jets. I’ve been saying for weeks that this might be the last opportunity for the Jets to win a football game this year. They are at home against an average team, the Raiders. Vegas is flying cross country for the second week in a row. They dropped a massive egg last week when they got blown out by the Falcons. A main reason for that blowout was Derek Carr performing poorly. The Falcons are good at stopping the run and forced Carr to throw, which lead to unfortunate results. As everyone is acutely aware, the NY Jets are a bad football team with a bad defense. But you know the lone thing the Jets do well? Stop the run (8th overall!). It was just announced that Josh Jacobs is out for this game and the Raiders will be relying on the less talented Devin Booker. Jon Gruden loves to establish the run like its 1997, so the Raiders will try to run the ball, most likely to little success. This will put the game back on Carr’s shoulders. Last time these two teams met, the Raiders got blown out 34-3. The Jets have a locker room full of veterans that do NOT want to go 0-16. I believe the Jets give maximum effort in this one. I love the points. Go ahead and sprinkle a little on the money line too. I wouldn’t be shocked if the Jets won outright.
