New Orleans Saints -2.5 (-110)
The Joshua Dobbs story is awesome. It really is. The kid is a rocket scientist by training and has been bouncing around the NFL for the past few years, just going from team to team and finding himself starting. He has been on 3 teams this year alone. Last week was magic. And everyone saw it. It was all over ESPN, on all the Twitter highlights and covered extensively. But here’s the thing though, it was so amazing specifically because he didn’t know the playbook and Vikings coach O’Connell had to outline the plays for him in his headset at the line. Just great stuff. Doesn’t mean he knows the playbook yet. Nor does he know his teammates yet. And now he’s facing a much stauncher defense in the Saints. Dobbs will not have Justin Jefferson for this one, which helps my bet. I just think that this is a pure fade of what we last saw - the Saints turning the ball over a million times and barely beating the Bears vs. the Vikings pulling off a feel-good miraculous win. Get this under the -3. Don’t pay over -120 for it.
