Best Bet: New England Patriots +2.5 (-110)

This one is all about the angles. I think that the Browns are a better overall team than the Pats. Not by much but a little (at least until Deshaun Watson comes back). The Browns are coming off of a crushing loss and the Pats shut out the Lions and dominated. The Pats are starting a 3rd string QB on the road. So why would I possibly be on the Pats? Well, Baily Zappe is not that bad. He has run the offense admirably and done everything New England has asked him to. The Browns are the very worst at stopping the run in the NFL. Rhamondre Stevenson will be EATING in this game. If the Pats can win this game on the ground and not have to rely on Zappe, that’s the plan. Plus, the Pats have a ton of knowledge about Jacoby Brissett. He’s been in house and in division in the past. Throw in Bill Belichick wanting to beat the Browns organization that fired him years ago and you have a recipe for a Pats cover.
