Houston Texans +8 (-110)

While they let me down last week, I’m right back on them again this week. I’m taking the Texans with all the points. Who are the Jags to be laying all these points to anyone? They have not proven anything yet. Let alone the ability to cover nearly double digits in a divisional game. In fact, the Texans actually beat the Jags in one of their meager 3 wins last year. I am not saying the Texans are going to win this game but I am saying that all of their recent problems should be lessened in this matchup. For example, they should be able to run the ball by getting back Laremy Tunsil and going up against a Jags defense that has trouble stopping the run. Also, CJ Stroud has been fine in his first two games. If he continues his steady play, the Texans should be in this game. There is a concern with not having Derek Stingley in at CB against the Jags pass defense, however, I trust Demeco Ryans to come up with a plan to contain Trevor Lawrence.
