Cleveland Browns -2 (-110)

I can’t help myself. I’ve been backing the Browns the entire year and have multiple futures in play. Yet, I’m back for more. This is sort of going all-in for me, but the situation is calling for it. It’s a rookie QB and rookie head coach in their first playoff game. CJ Stroud will be going up against the best defense in the NFL. Quite the baptism for your first playoff game. For as much as people doubt Joe Flacco, he is a grizzled veteran, who has won a SuperBowl and has more experience than every other quarterback playing in this year’s playoffs. Those are all the pros for this play. There are cons. The Browns are on the road. Their defense hasn’t been good on the road comparative to home. Grant Delpit is out, increasing the risk to their secondary, where Stroud has to win for the Texans to have a shot. All that said, the Browns are the better team, with the better running game and defense. That is usually the formula for playoff success.
