Chicago Bears +10.5 (-110) vs. New Orleans Saints

1/10/21 Best Bet: Let’s get ugly. How ugly? Betting Mitchell Trubisky in a playoff game ugly. Look, I’m not gonna sit here and try to make a case for how the Bears are going to win this game. There is little chance of that (they could win, but not likely). I’m here to make a case for this number. This number started at 9 early in the week and kept heading up. I think this is teaser protection (making sure that bettors can’t tease the Saints down to -3). Overall, laying double digits in a playoff game is wild. The Saints are good but let’s be real, their offense is not going to have an easy time today to put up a bunch of points that will cover this line. I actually think this game turns into something totally different than is expected. If you like the Bears, you might also have to like the over. The Bears will have a hard time running the ball today, as the Saints are top 3 in run defense. To be successful, young Trubisky will have to run, run, run. I think this leads to points and the Saints having to throw the ball more. This actually plays into the Bears favor, as their secondary has been their top unit this year on the defense. Long story short, last time these teams played in Chicago with Foles at QB, it was a 3 point game that went to OT. Now, I get the better, more dynamic Trubisky in a do or die game. I like Chicago.
