Quick disclaimer: I do not think that Desmond Ridder is an NFL quarterback. In fact, I believe that Taylor Heineke will definitely be making starts (multiple) at some point this season. That said, Atlanta is good at running the ball. Like, REALLY good. Like, probably the best in the league. I do believe Arthur Smith is a smart head coach that makes a bespoke game plan to win the game he’s playing at the moment. And I believe that’s what’s gonna happen here. No one is higher on the Packers than me this season. However, when this line opened, I didn’t think it made sense they should be favored on the road. Green Bay’s biggest challenge for the last 3 - 4 years has been stopping the run. Well, that is not great for THIS matchup. And Jordan Love can’t hide behind the running game again this week with Aaron Jones banged up (and potentially not playing) and AJ Dillon looking pretty terrible last week. Christian Watson may not play again, so this might be a game won in the trenches. The Falcons at home in this matchup have the better trenches. Dirty Birds by 3.
