Best Bet: San Francisco 49ers +2.5 (+100)

I’ve been saying this for a while now and will continue to do so. The SF 49ers, in my opinion, are the best team in the NFL. When this line first came out, I assumed we would be looking at a pickem or maybe an Eagles -1. I was stunned to see the line go all the way up to -2.5 and we are basically touching 3 here. If you are going to bet the Niners in this spot, it might make sense to buy onto the +3. That will probably cost you a -125 or so, but very worth it given the circumstances. This entire game will hinge on Brock Purdy. How does he handle going into the biggest game of his life in one of the toughest places to play in the NFL. Well, luckily, he has the better coach and the better supporting staff. The biggest weakness of the Eagles defense is their run defense. On the other sideline, I get Kyle Shanahan, the greatest run game schemer of our generation. If Purdy is melting down, I expect the Niners to run. A lot of this line is based on the perception of the Eagles destroying the Giants last week. The Niners ain’t the Giants, they have the best defense in the NFL. So, even factoring in a big homefield advantage and a rookie QB, this line is inflated. I think the Niners are headed to the Superbowl.
