10/16/20 Best Bet: Ok, back to bases. Tonight I’m on the Dodgers to save their season against the Braves. I definitely expect this to be a low scoring affair and I’m backing the better pitcher with May. Yes, Minter’s numbers look better this year in a shorter span (21.2 IP / 0.83 ERA / 3.56 xFIP) as a reliver. However, May is a natural starter that has been coming back in on a relief role during his rehab from a foot injury. I think the key here is May is young (and dumb) in a good way. He’s not going to feel the weight and the pressure like Kershaw and do enough to allow the Dodgers a chance to let their offense shine. In actuality, on the Atlanta side, it’s hard to approximate how the relievers -as-starter strategy will go tonight - they could blow up. I like the Dodgers, as the better team, to win tonight and I’m laying the juice!
