Houston Texans +4 (-110) vs. Pittsburgh Steelers

9/24/20 Best Bet: This Sunday I’m taking the Texans on the road in Pittsburgh. I’m extremely aware that I am trying to fade the best defense in the NFL, at home, where they tend to play their best. This play has a lot to do with my convictions at the beginning of the year and sticking to them. Unlike everyone (in the country? world? universe?), I am not high on the Steelers this year. I still think Ben doesn’t look right. Also, this is the same Steelers team that barely covered against the Giants and didn’t cover against the Jeff Driskel-led Broncos. My other reasoning is Deshaun Watson and the disrespect he’s received as a top 5 QB in the NFL. Watson was over a TD dog at home last week. Granted, it was to the Ravens but still…when does that ever happen? It comes down to public perception here: I don’t think the Texans are as bad everyone thinks and the Steelers are not as good as everyone thinks. I’m getting over a FG here with a desperate team and a great QB. Watson is mobile and should make up for the weakness of his line with his scrambling. Gimmie Houston this weekend.
