San Francisco 49ers -3 (EV) vs. Washington Football Team

12/12/20: All right, I’m on the Niners tomorrow. I think this is the perfect buy low / sell high spot. We have Washington coming off of an impressive outright win against Pittsburgh on an island game. You also have the Niners getting waxed on Monday Night. I think the Niners had to get adjusted to being in Arizona, so they were probably occupied last week. Due to the Football Team’s big win last week, I’m supposed to believe that these are pretty much even teams. At least that’s what this line is saying. I have it power ranked as the Niners being 3 point favorites on a neutral. Now you can argue that this is a neutral field (Arizona), however the Niners have now settled in. I think Shanahan is the better coach in this matchup and there’s an underlying factor here: He hates the Washington franchise. Do not forget that he was employed by them, as was his father, who was fired. Last year in this same spot against Washington, it was a torrential downpour and the Niners won in disgusting fashion, 9-0, not covering the spread (yes, I actually remember not covering this game). I just think San Fran is the better overall team here (even with the injuries) and they win the game. It’s -3, so win the game and at least push. I’m on the Niners.
