This might be Bill Belichick’s last game as the HC of the NEP. He wants to win this game. He wants to beat the NYJ, a franchise he hates and has owned for over 2 decades. I’m not commenting on whether he should be back with the Pats. I’m saying there’s a higher than 30% he’s not the coach next year and he wants to go out with a win. Secondly, what is this line? I have the Pats as 2 points better than the Jets and this is on a neutral field. The Pats have at least 2 points of home field advantage. Third, do the Jets WANT to play this game? What’s the motivation for Gang Green here? Imagine Garrett Wilson or Breece Hall gets hurt in a meaningless game that the Jets should probably lose to improve draft position? The weather is going to be bad and the Patriots are the better running team too. This line makes no sense and I noticed there was some movement earlier in the week where people were betting the Jets. Again, makes no sense. The coaches and front office all seem like they are getting a mulligan for this year and will run it back with Aaron Rodgers next year. Just zero motivation. Gimmie the Pats.
