Los Angeles Rams +5 (-110)
OK, so no Cooper Kupp. The Rams are playing a practice squad defense (with Aaron Donald as the anchor). The Seahawks are the darlings of the NFC West, expected to overtake the 49ers or make a serious push for the division….Yet, this line is lower now than it was when it opened in the summer at +6. Tells me everything I need to know. I had already bet this number in the summer when it was 6 and 5.5 and I still like it. Sean McVay OWNS Pete Carroll. I believe McVay has only lost twice against him staright up out of 12 games and has covered at an over 60% clip. This is also a divisional game and these teams always play each other tough. Look no further than last year when Seattle needed the game against the Rams late in the year. Rams had Baker Mayfield in as QB. That line was almost 6, if I remember. The Seahawks barely squeezed out a 4 point win. I expect a mostly healthy Rams team (minus Kupp) to bring it in Week 1.
