9/12/21 Best Bet: Houston Texans +3 (-105)

Let’s get ugly. During the offseason there was no one more on the Texans under 4.5 wins train than me. No one. This is a team with like 4 backup RBs, a back up QB, one receiver I’ve heard of and no one I’ve ever heard of on the defensive side of the ball. David Culley, the Texans head coach, has never been a head coach at any level. While this is all bad, let’s take a look at their opponent, the Jaguars. Rookie head coach (in the NFL), rookie QB, a terrible defense, an offensive line that was so bad in preseason that many analysts thought Trevor Lawrence was going to be injured and they went 1-15 last year. Nothing Urban Meyer has done since taking over this team has aspired confidence. Why are the Jaguars laying points on the road to anyone? Let alone a division team. Yea, Houston is bad but there’s no fucking way I’m laying a field goal on the road with the Jags. Holding my nose and taking the points here. Btw, the one single game the Jags won last year? It was opening day as a big dog to a divisional foe when everyone was piling in on the other side.
