Detroit Lions +6 (-110) vs. Green Bay Packers

9/16/20 Best Bet: Overreaction week continues…Everyone saw Aaron Rodgers look like, well, Aaron Rodgers this past Sunday, carving up the Vikings and ranking 2nd in QBR. Here’s the thing, I believe this lays more at the feet of the Vikings defense than Aaron Rodgers coming back with a vengeance. The Lions also SHOULD have won and COVERED their game but instead took a bad loss to Chicago. I believe this +6 line is purely due to overreaction. I was high on the Lions and down on the Packers coming into this season. None of this has (or should) change due to one week. I’m getting almost a TD here when this line should probably be more like 4.5. OK, I will take it. I think the Lions run the ball more against a poor Green Bay run defense, control the clock and do just enough for a win or a cover. Keep in mind last year the Lions were slight underdogs in their first game against the Packers. I think the Lions have gotten better and the Packers are worse than last year. As an added bonus, I get the public all over Rodgers…perfect. Lions +6. Don’t be surprised if they don’t win this game outright.
