San Francisco 49ers +1 (-110)

After last week’s lost to the Bills, the Chiefs are looking for revenge. I mean, look how close they were to beating the best team in the league. Some bounces go their way and they woulda won! So, if you handicapped this week’s Chiefs game against the Niners with these thoughts in mind…you are the public. We fade the public. I’m on the 49ers this week because they have the best run scheme in football and the Chiefs are 28th against the rush. In fact, the Chiefs are the 28th defense overall and the Niners are the 3rd. And the Niners are getting healthy - getting back Nick Bosa and Trent Williams. To be clear, none of my handicap has anything to do with Christian McCaffrey. I was on the Niners at 2.5 earlier this week before CMC was traded. I don’t think he even plays that much. But what McCaffrey does is energize this San Francisco team. This is a clear message from the top down that they are all in. Psychologically, this matters. I think the Niners, at home and excited about the future, will run the ball and play a stifling defense. I know that Mahomes can outduel the best of them, but I think SF posts the win here.
