2 Team Teaser: Eagles +13.5 / Lions +14.5 (-110)

12/13/20: On this fine Sunday, I am going to be giving out what I call my “consider your life decisions” teaser. Yes, that’s right, if you put in this teaser you definitely should be evaluating your life choices. But alas, if you have to gamble on the NFL, this is the way. First, let’s start with the Eagles. I think that the benching of Wentz will give the defense a boost. The defense is the strength of this team and if they don’t have to cover Wentz’s mistakes, they will be buoyed. Yes, Hurts will be rough against the good Saints D, however, is Taysom Hill good? He’s had 3 starts - 2 against the Falcons and 1 against the Broncos. I think there might be some matchup edge the Saints might have against the Falcons and the Broncos didn’t start a QB. I think today will be Hill’s first real test. Keep in mind the Philly D has been practicing against Hurts (a running QB) all week, who is similar to Hill. As for the Lions, this is just a system play. I’m getting a home dog over 2 TDs (with the teaser) in a divisional game. Also, Darrell Bevell is known for running the ball, which is exactly how you beat the Packers. If he really commits to Swift and company today, they will shorten this game and give us a massive edge as we are taking 2 touchdowns. This teaser will feel dirty when you put it in, hence why I think it’s a good play.
