This is one of my favorite plays of the year. Everyone watched (in horror) on Monday Night as the Saints barely got past the Seahawks without Russ. I’m of the mind that Sean Payton, a top 3? top 4? coach in the league had a simple game plan: do not allow Jameis to throw the game away. The Saints were going up against Geno Smith and a horrible Seattle defense. If New Orleans just played their game, as the much better team, they were going to win on the road. So they did and they did. Conversely, everyone also saw the Bucs demolish a mediocre Bears team that is just lost offensively. I’m going to fade the public side of the Bucs here. This is a divisional game, in New Orleans, on Halloween. I do not think the Bucs realize the type of atmosphere they are going into. Add in the fact that the Saints beat the Bucs two times last year and should have won in the playoffs too, if not for Drew Brees turnovers. Oh, did I mention that to win this game, Payton needs to release Jameis Winston in a massive revenge spot? Sprinkle the moneyline, Saints might win outright.
