New York Giants +3.5 (-110)

When Malik Nabers was designated as “out” for this game, I hesitated. I thought, surely, this line will go up to +4 or +4.5, as he was expected to play. Then that didn’t happen. It’s not that Nabers isn’t worth at least 0.5 point to the line; he is. It is that his absence and the line not moving was more of an indictment on the Bengals. This defense is horrific. 22nd overall. While Joe Burrow is competing and having All Pro-level games, the defense just gives it all back. There is a mismatch on the lines too. The Giants come in sporting the 4th overall defensive line vs. the Bengals 19th ranked offensive line. This disparity will play into the Giants favor, even without Kayvon Thibodeaux. I understand it is ugly, but the Giants have played well this season, with 2 of their 3 losses looking much better in hindsight (Vikings and Washington). I think that the offense and their scheme will do just enough to keep the Giants in this game. Win or lose, I think it’s close.
