10/3/21 Best Bet: New York Giants +7 (-110)

I felt a tinge of nausea while typing this out. The Giants have just been so ugly and so bad. Who on earth wants to be on this New York side? Shepherd and Slayton out – their two most productive receivers. Blake Martinez lost for the season – their defensive captain. And now, they have to go into the Superdome in what is effectively, the Saints home opener. Rough. But the positives here are the Saints are coming home after being away for a long time. This actually helps the Giants who are likely to be more focused and sharp. I can make the case that outside of last week, the Giants haven’t been that bad. Close contests with Denver and Washington. I think the Giants will game plan to go at the Saints biggest weakness: their secondary. John Ross is active and will stretch the field. Kenny Golladay is finally getting time to play with Danny Dimes and they are building their rhythm. Then you always have Jameis who can throw the game away. I dunno, I just think the Giants could keep it close and not win.
