You have a rookie QB and a first time head coach making their season debuts, on the road. The spread is way too high and honestly, I would lean Texans if I could get 10.5. This play is about managing expectations and managing CJ Stroud. I would think Demeco Ryans wants to slow this game down by running the ball. This does two things, it takes the game out of Stroud’s hands and effectively shortens the game. Both of these are keys if the Texans want to hang around in this one. This is less of a play on the Ravens defense which will be severely hurt by the loss of Marlon Humphrey and more about the new look Texans not being able to do much on offense.
