This week I’m bravely siding with the Washington Football Team of DC. I readily admit that the Bucs are the best team in the NFL (go check my Power Rankings – out every week!). However, since we are playing point spreads and those are the great equalizers, I will indulge in some WFT. Let’s start with my rankings, I have Tampa as 9.5 points better than the Football Team. But, this game is in Washington (read: Landover, MD) and even though the Team has very little homefield advantage – I give them 1 point. OK, this should be 8.5. Aside from the math part, I think that both of these teams coming off the bye should be focused. I think Washington figures out it’s pass rush which has been the most disappointing thing for them all year. Ron Rivera is too good of a (defensive) coach to let a handful of first rounders play this poorly. The way you beat Brady is through pressure. Washington hung tough with the Bucs in the playoffs last year at home. Also, I think the way to get to Tampa is through the air. I think Heneike will air it out and take some YOLO chances that should keep the Team within 2 scores.
