1/2/21 Best Bet: In a normal world this line makes sense. You could make the case that this line should probably be 7. However, the Saints “have” to win to have a (long) shot at the #1 seed in the NFC. The Panthers have nothing to play for but they aren’t your typical team playing out the string. Matt Rhule will be the coach next year and a large portion of the team, including basically the entire defense, will also be back. The Panthers want to finish the season on a high note. To throw more 2020 fun into the game, the entire Saints RB room is out for the game because of COVID. While Ty Montgomery should be serviceable, it’s a problem when you are missing both Kamara and Murray. Michael Thomas is also out. I just think the panthers shouldn’t be getting this many points at home against a division rival. Teddy Bridgewater is also money when it comes to covering the spread. I’m on the Panthers this weekend and don’t hesitate to sprinkle a bit on the moneyline, as they may fuck around and win this game.
