Best Bet: Indianapolis Colts +6.5 (-110)

When the Eagles finally lost a game on Monday night to Washington, of all teams, it seemed like the luster came off of Philly. They were no longer the “perfect team”. It also happened in primetime, so everyone saw the “perfect team” lose. Perceptions are hard to kick. Most of the public thinks that the Eagles will “easily” bounce back against a “lucky” Colts team. Well, the Eagles will be up against it, for sure. Firstly, it’s a short week. And they are on the road. Third, they are laying almost a full touchdown on the road, never an easy hurdle to clear. On the Indy side of the handicap, it seems that Jonathan Taylor is healthy and able to control the run game. This is the gameplan that Washington won with and will help keep the Philly offense off the field. Also, even without Darius Leonard, the Colts are the 5th best defense against the run in the league. Philly LOVES to run. Throw in the fact that the Eagles are really banged up on their defensive line, evidenced by picking up guys off the street this week. I really love the points here.
