8/19/20 Best Bet: I’m flying in the face of the zig-zag theory today. The NBA playoff zig-zag theory states that when one team wins the first game (Celtics), you fade them in the next game. Well, I think the number is priced in here. The Celtics won Game 1 by 8 points, covering the 6 point spread. So Game 2 is priced at Celts -4.5. Joel Embiid took over all the scoring and rebounding duties the other day and will be expected to shoulder the load again. I just don’t think he or the Sixers will have enough. The Celts and their genius coach, Brad Stevens are not going to take their foot of the gas here and give the 76ers life. Stevens will find a way to neutralize Tobias Harris and have Embiid do all the work, he might get tired down. Gimmie the C’s to cover Game 2.
